Why a Hot Tub is the Best Investment You Can Make

When was the last time you made a big purchase? Was it a house? Car? Or maybe a boat? Now think of the important qualities you had in mind when making the buying decision. Was it size? Appearance? Functions? Luxury? If you’re like me, it was probably a good combination of all the above.

So is a hot tub a good investment?

Now if you were to purchase a hot tub, what factors would be important to you? Size? Yes, appearance? Of course. These features come with every brand, but may I also suggest…. Therapy.

Before meeting Calspas and Clearwater, I never thought a Hot Tub could be used as a “therapy machine”. To me, it was just a big tub of hot moving water to hang with your friends in. But with a Hot Tub being such a big purchase and lifetime investment, it better be more than just “hot water”. Here are some things I’ve learned about hydrotherapy and the Hot tub experience:

First, a quick history lesson. Hydrotherapy takes its roots from Ancient Greek, Chinese and Native American traditions. These early people noted that water was one of the four basic elements of life, with the power to calm fiery emotions, soothe the body, and restore the spirit. Now you’re speaking my language! Today, spas continue this tradition of using the restoring properties of water. With the correct jet size and placement, pump power and control, ergonomically designed seats and the use of a mixture of pressurized water and air, it should be no surprise why hot tubs offer the only real hydrotherapy solution.

Have you ever dealt with stress? That’s a no-brainer question. Truth is, we all have. Stress is a hallmark of modern society and the results can be detrimental: muscle tension, restricted blood flow, headaches, sleeplessness, fatigue, and the list continues.

Here’s an interesting fact: 75 – 90 percent* of visits to physicians for primary care are stress related. Wow! Now, it’s not to say that Hot tubs are the cure for stress, but wouldn’t it feel nice to escape the grips of stress? WebMD actually suggests sitting quietly for 15 to 20 minutes per day to relieve stress. Now picture adding warmth, a massage for your entire body (hands and feet too!), color therapy, aromatherapy (and maybe a glass of wine undefined ). Comfortable yet? In a spa, heat, buoyancy, and massage combine to create the first essence of effective stress relief – hydrotherapy.

We could go on and on about all of the therapeutic qualities in a Calspa or Clearwater Hot Tub that makes these brands the best in the business, but you’ll just have to come see for yourself!
