Poolwerx Adds Seasoned Global Industry Professional to Senior Ranks
Poolwerx has announced the addition of Billie Pfeiffer to the US operations team as the Director of Franchise Sales. Pfeiffer has previously served as the Director of New Member Sales-Domestic and International at United Aqua Group, as well as working in the swimming pool industry for over 30 years. Cutting her teeth with a small pool builder and service operation, Pfeiffer then jumped to the distribution and manufacturer side of things, launching a global career. She worked with Horner Equipment in Florida in the distribution customer service department.
She moved on to work with Horner’s manufactured products, Autopilot Systems and Lo-Chlor Chemicals, and then moved into an Operations Manager position at CL Marketing, a distributor and manufacturing heavyweight in Calgary, Canada. Her success in Canada led her back to the states in 2012, working out of Arizona and eventually down under to Queensland, Australia in sales manager roles.
After moving back to the states and a director stint at United Aqua Group, Pfeiffer reconnected with John O’Brien, Poolwerx Founder and CEO, whom she met while working in Australia. “I recognized an incredible talent in Billie and was blown away by her knowledge and passion for the industry,” said O’Brien. “We jumped at the chance to work with such an accomplished powerhouse of the trade.”
With Pfeiffer’s appointment as the Director of Franchise Sales, Poolwerx is ramping up its franchise development efforts as the company eyes crossing the 200-store mark and plans to have more than 620 service vans across America in the next five years. Tasked with continuing the US growth of the Poolwerx, she will be focusing on disrupting the status quo by introducing independent businesses to the Poolwerx franchise model which emphasizes employee training, marketing, technology, and proven sales methodologies – typically beyond the reach of independent operators.
“Due to the global pandemic, people are traveling less and investing in their backyards more than ever. I’m excited to be working with Poolwerx to become the go-to brand for everyone’s pool needs – including homeowners and property managers,” said Pfeiffer. “It’s a very promising time for our industry and there is plenty of opportunity to grow an existing independent pool service operation or become a pool entrepreneur.”
She is seeking business owners looking for outside support to grow their retail and service businesses who have been in the industry for years and are looking for a grow-and-exit strategy. The global brand also offers a scalable model wherein franchisees can start with one service van, later open a retail store, and ultimately expand their footprint to multiple retail locations and vehicles. Poolwerx is currently scouting qualified candidates across Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, and the northeast.
