Meet the Owners

Hello! We are Amy and Steve Schroeder, the owners of Poolwerx Sarasota. We moved down to Florida in 2015 and quickly came to the realization that there was a need for a good quality pool service company, so we decided to join the Poolwerx family and opened our store and mobile pool service business in January 2018.

We are proud parents of two grown children, Nick and Alex. Alex has worked for us since we opened in 2018 and takes care of our commercial account customers, making it truly a family business.

About Poolwerx Saratosa

Amy was in the medical field as a Somnologist performing sleep studies and is a certified phlebotomist. She also was in charge of the local area’s soup kitchen and served as director for over ten years. She holds a degree in Health and Human Services. Steve was a prior Program Manager for several different industries ranging from US Army Combat Vehicles, to Orthodontics. He holds an associates degree in Engineering, a Bachelors in Business Administration as well as an MBA.

Both Amy and Steve are CPO certified and are committed to creating a personal experience when taking care of your pool needs. We are in the business to make memories for you and your family.

Hello! I hail from the great state of Ohio! I am the Service Manager here at Poolwerx Sarasota. I ensure that all of our Maintenance Technicians are taking care of your pools the Poolwerx way. In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my 2 pet snakes, playing video games and collecting trading cards. We hope to see your pool soon!

Hello, I am the Retail Manager here at Poolwerx, Sarasota. When I am not taking care of your water tests and chemical needs, I enjoy kayaking, fishing in Sarasota Bay, traveling and paddle boarding.

I was born in Bradenton and have lived in Florida for most of my life. When Im not busy in your backyard I enjoy spending time with my wife and taking care of my family. We enjoy movies, video games, concerts and working out!

I've had issues with new my pool heater shutting down when trying to heat my spa. Several people have evaluated the issue and could not determine the source of the problem. I called Steve at Poolwerx and he had Brik over to assess the situation. He spent several hours running the system and he concluded that I didn't have enough jets based on the size of the openings on each of them to allow proper water circulation . He expanded jet openings with a drill and resolved the problem! He mentioned he's only seen this once before in the past 8 years. Brik was extremely professional and a great conversationalist - I truly appreciate his knowledge and expertise. I'd highly recommend him and Poolwerx who also diligently service my pool on a weekly basis.

Whisperwood Condominium Association, The Meadow Country Club, Sarasota, FL. Our association just switched to Poolwrex last week, the difference in the appearance of our pool/spa is incredibly improved. Even another company that we have had working on leaks was impressed with the difference in its appearance. Even the leaves were blown off the deck. That's saying a lot when a competitor comments how much nicer the area looks!

The staff is amazing, they have great customer service and over all pleasant to be around. They are extremely professional and do great work. Pool is always clean, so happy Poolwerx replaced the other company at TGM Palm Aire.
